Medical Malpractice
Essentially, medical malpractice is negligence on the part of a doctor (or other health care provider). When a doctor (or other health care provider) departs from standard medical practice and injury or death of a patient occurs as a result of that deviation from the standard of care, the doctor (or other health care provider) can be liable for their actions. Under such circumstances, the patient is entitled to recover for past and future pain and suffering, medical expenses, and loss of earnings. A spouse (or if a minor is injured, the parents) can recover for loss of services. In a death case, the next of kin can recover for their loss.

How should you select an attorney for your potential medical malpractice claim?
If you are looking to hire a medical malpractice lawyer, you need to hire an attorney who has experience in that small field as the cases require a particular expertise. While many lawyers hold themselves out as a trial lawyer, you really need to find an attorney who takes cases to trial. I get results for my clients as I have won cases for years, as shown by the partial listing of verdicts and settlements in the Case Results section. While many lawyers have rarely or never actually tried a case and are more interested in settling, I can provide the dedicated skill and experience your important claim deserves. This experience will get you a quicker and larger settlement offer if you choose to resolve the matter short of trial. Medical Malpractice cases are very complicated and I will bring the skill set needed for you to prevail whether through settlement or trial. Please note that I know and appreciate how important this claim is to you. I will never forget that I work for you.
